Carrying June

My Mind

I want to carry you into the room with me like I did when you were a toddler
Maybe put your urn in a baby carrier.
Or play my camera roll on my forehead of the videos of your life when I walk into a room or a grocery store.
The flashes of chemo days or medical procedures haunt my thoughts and I quickly search my mind to replace them with a happy thought.
Time hurts my eyes, happy to see your brother and sister grow with love in my broken heart.
Always with a but in my nightly tears.
I close my eyes and whisper , take me to where you are.
I hope you are living in your favourite days and replaying all of your favourite memories.
